In-Service Training Needs of English Teachers for New Trends in Contemporary Methods and Techniques in Foreign Language Teaching

The paper tries to unveilEnglish teachers’ in-service training needs for contemporary approaches in foreign language teaching. Designed descriptive model, this research was conducted 140 English teachers working Siirt city. A survey form, developed by the researcher, used as data collection tool.Descriptive statistics were quantitative and direct citations from participants’ opinions are presented. According results of study, more than half hadn’t attended any course held Ministry National Education [MoNE]. Also, it revealed that majority participants didn’t have lesson on teaching during their university education.The frequency participating feel need attend an quite high theiraverage level perceived knowledge about found be 1,82 out 5. It also 75% did not find education applied schools contemporary.
